Starts at 3:15 in this video for people in the UK.
If you’re outside the UK, here’s a summary: In the 85th minute after a free kick had been given to the Blades, Coventry fans invaded the pitch for the second time during the match protesting the club’s (admittedly woeful) ownership. The players were ushered off and the future of the match was in limbo until a Football League senior official decided it should continue. United quickly got the ball up into their half and Billy Sharp scored a beaut after the Sky Blues keeper deflected his first shot, putting us joint top of League One and him joint top goalscorer with Morris of Scunthorpe.
Chris Wilder clearly gave the lads some pointers during the stoppage, but we had had several chances in the minutes before the invasion and were finally looking the stronger side by far after a dreadful second half.
The moral of this story is: if you’re going to protest by invading the pitch, do it when your team has the upper hand!
I’m still laughing.
